Stickies.

Posted by iCafe on January - 27 - 2012

The little known (or at least under-used) app for Mac OS X – Stickies – offers a great task management and reminder tool to help you stay up to date with your goals and things-to-do.

While there are plenty of alternatives out there; such as third party apps and reminders in Mail for Lion; Stickies offers a simple, native way to keep track that gets the job done with no need for bells and whistles.

Stickies is great because it can get as in-the-way or out-of-the-way as you want it to be. You can collapse stickies into thin bars for later opening, and you can even make windows translucent or floating. You can have multiple stickies at once; and you can even choose your color, to organize ideas or to just make things look good with your wallpaper.

Exporting stickies is also just as easy as composing one. Whether you want to save the text as a text file or put the text in an email, its as simple as a few clicks of the mouse or taps of the trackpad.

The nicest feature? Autosave. Stickies automatically saves changes and opens all of your stickies back up just they way you left them before.

So head on up to the Spotlight search and give Stickies a try. It’s nothing big, but a nice little convenience.
