- The coverage status initially indicated for your unit may not be the final coverage status for the repair.
- Issues covered by Apple’s 1 year limited warranty or AppleCare Protection Plan will be diagnosed and repaired free of charge
- Accidental damage (including liquid spills) is not covered by warranty or Applecare.
- Data recovery is NOT covered by warranty or Applecare, even for in-warranty failures
- Issues in warranty caused by non-Apple components are not covered (billed hourly)
- Non-covered diagnostics will be subject to a fee of $75
- Non-covered repair will be billed at $60/hour
- Cancelled repairs repairs may be subject to a $50 restocking fee or the cost of the part, whichever is less
- While we take reasonable measures to preserve data, MacXprts is not responsible for data lost during the repair process
- Data backup is ultimately the responsibility of the customer
- At the customer’s request, iCafe will perform a backup of the customer’s data. Please inquire about options for data backup, or read about our options here
- MacXprts reserves the right to reset user passwords when required by the repair process
- MacXprts will run software update. If you do not wish to have your software updated, please indicate this to staff upon dropping off your computer.
- Equipment left past 14 days after diagnostic or repair will be subject to a $10/day storage fee
- Equipment left past 30 days becomes the property of MacXprts
