Logic Pro Studio Classes offered from MacXprts-Kansas at iCafe
Do you write songs? Do you have a band and need quality recordings? Are you a singer and want to make a demo tape? Do you want to write music for a film? Learning Logic Pro Studio can help you achieve these goals and more!
This class is designed for beginners who have little or no experience using music production software and equipment. It will give you the tools you need to get started making professional sounding recordings of live or synthesized music. Included topics for the class are:
- How to get around the Logic interface
- Learning tools and shortcuts of Logic
- Setting up a portable home or small office studio
- Setting up a MIDI controller
- Setting up an audio interface
- Setting up microphones to record live instruments and voices
- Recording using a MIDI controller
- Recording using digital audio
- Editing MIDI
- Editing Digital Audio
This will be a multi-part class taught by Peter Purin. Each session will cost $25.00
Peter Purin is a Ph.D. music theory candidate at the University of Kansas. He teaches classes ranging from music theory to music technology. He is also an active composer, and writes a wide range of music, but especially enjoys writing and producing Brodway/pop tunes. Purin is also an active singer. He lives in Lawrence with his wife and son, and spends a great deal of time on his MacBook.
